Consisting of two youth activist organizations:

A.C.T.I.O.N (http://thepoint.org/action.php) and Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice (http://www.ympj.org/centers/youthorganizing.html), we have been invited by the Southern Bronx River Watershed Alliance (SBRWA) http://www.waterfrontalliance.org/partners/southern-bronx-river-watershed-alliance-sbrwa to rally youth to discuss alternatives and restructure existing systemic imbalances which environmental justice issues are only a symptom of. For this summit, we want to change the game, inviting youth workshop leaders with new approaches and thinking that speaks to youth and taps into the force we have. Frankly, if we do not take charge of our future, no one else will.
The conference will be the first led by youth on this issue in the Bronx. It will be non-traditional and active expanding this critical dialogue across the borough and city.
