Paycheck Plus: Employment Incentive For Low-Income Single Workers

paycheck_plus_300x300Paycheck Plus is a joint pilot program of the NYC Center for Economic Opportunity, HRA, MDRC and the Food Bank to simulate an expanded EITC in New York City for low-income single workers without dependent children, with the goal of increasing employment and earnings and reducing poverty.

You have the chance to receive a bonus afer you work and file your taxes. You can get a bonus of up to $2,000 even if you didn’t quality for tax refunds or credis in the past. This program could help you put more money in your pocket when you work.

Who Can Qualify?

  • File taxes as a single adult
  • Do not claim children on your tax return
  • Earned less than $30,000 in the past year, from work or self-employment
  • Ages 21 to 64
  • Have a social security number
  • Live in New York City
