Bank Street’s Liberty LEADS provides 260 children and families a comprehensive after school program that meets their social and emotional needs. The program operates from Bank Street South. Services are offered to families and middle school and high school students, grades 5-12, for 11 months each year. Eligibility is based on space availability.
Our mission is to empower underrepresented youth to become lifelong learners and worldwide community role models by helping them attain higher education, embrace global leadership engagement and create a positive future for themselves and others.
Every student is helped to fulfill his or her academic potential and acquire strong leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility. All students have access to a wide range of academic resources, college prep classes, counseling, mentoring and enrichment activities. In addition, Liberty LEADS offers all students a comprehensive support system based on ongoing relationships with caring adults who give every young person consistent and individual attention.
