This week, we’re asking a simple question – without a simple answer – why not end decades of fighting by creating a Palestinian state right alongside Israel? The two-state solution might seem like a modern proposal, but over the years there have been plenty of attempts to establish an Arab state alongside a Jewish one. In fact, there have been six recognizable attempts to establish a Palestinian state, that date back to before the War of Independence in 1948. So, why isn’t there a State of Palestine?
