Each Wednesday evening (and again on Sunday mornings), a child in foster care who is waiting for a loving adoptive home is profiled during the news on WNBC 4. Meet this week’s child:
Joshua, 14, is the kid at school everyone enjoys being around. He is outgoing, sociable and extremely smart. Excited to start the 9th grade, Joshua interacts well with his peers and teachers. His favorite classes are math, science, and reading. When he’s not studying, you can find him playing basketball and football. Joshua dreams of becoming a coach for an NBA team one day or a mechanic.
He also likes to write and draw in his spare time. When he’s hungry, his go to dishes include macaroni and cheese and chicken.
Having a family of his own is so important to Joshua. He says he would like a family who will be there for him whenever he has a problem that he may not know how to handle.
