Atlanta lays claim to the ninth largest metro area in the country, with about 6 million people living in the region. It is a sprawling city but like many others, it has a few stressful drawbacks like its traffic, long commutes, high pollution, and expensive apartments. While the city has some of the finest restaurants, shopping areas, and the numerous attractions of cosmopolitan life, many Atlantans and newcomers are opting out of the city life to enjoy the amenities of living in the suburbs.
