Building Skills NY works to empower New Yorkers, enhance employability, and improve our local communities. Building Skills NY believes that training can result in long term employment and an improved circumstances for participants and their families. Whether you are embarking on a new career, or interested in a job change, our course is designed to give you the training you need for a job in construction. Our program course has been reviewed and approved by some of the largest developers and contractors in the affordable housing industry and our instructors work continuously to ensure our curriculum is consistent with industry needs.
We provide a FREE 8 to 10 week course where our students receive both classroom and hands on training in construction math, green practices, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, safety, and blueprint reading.
