Per Scholas is a national nonprofit organization that breaks the cycle of poverty by providing technology education, access, training and job placement services for people in low-income communities.
In our state-licensed Institute for Technology, Per Scholas provides comprehensive, fully paid IT professional training, job placement and ongoing support services to more than 400 individuals each year. Graduates are prepared to take and pass industry-recognized CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) exams. Prospective students can attend an orientation at our main South Bronx location, any Monday – Thursday at 9:00 a.m. No appointment necessary.
Per Scholas was founded in 1994 as one of the first organizations dedicated to breaking down all the digital divides that hurt low-income communities. We are grateful for the support we receive from many partners, including some of the nation’s leading foundations and corporations. We work closely with elected and appointed government officials and public agencies, as well as a large network of other community service providers. More than 250 volunteers help us each year.
