Each Wednesday evening (and again on Sunday mornings), a child in foster care who is waiting for a loving adoptive home is profiled during the news on WNBC 4. Meet this week’s child:
Nicole dreams of one day becoming a successful zoologist or veterinarian, but for now she is looking forward to trying out to be a cheerleader at her high school.
Currently in 11th grade, Nicole is excelling in all of her classes and is always on the honor roll. What she enjoys most about school is the excitement of being exposed to new things. Her favorite class is English. Nicole’s generous spirit makes it easy for her to get along well with both her peers and teachers. She also enjoys art class where she has the chance to paint and draw. Right before heading to school, Nicole likes to cook up some delicious breakfast to start her day. She is a pro at making scrambled eggs, pancakes and French toast.
Nicole would love nothing more than to come home to a loving family.
“One of my dreams is to one day come out of foster care and live with a family that will not consider me as an ‘adoptive’ child, but truly one of their own.” Will you be that family?
