I am a loving and beloved child of God.
On this day, I take the time to listen to what those around me are saying 
I appreciate every word of encouragement, every bit of knowledge shared. I listen for the sound of joyful laughter or for a delighted shout of surprise. And each time I hear such joy, I offer a word of thanks to God, who has given me the ability to listen beyond the mere syntax of words 
As I truly listen, I hear the unspoken need in a neighbor’s voice and offer to be of help. If I see someone in distress, I offer a helping hand and words of comfort 
I do my best to communicate with those who do not speak the same language as I do.
And I listen to that still small voice within that is constantly reminding me that I am a beloved child of God 
“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.”
1 Corinthians 14:10
