Inner Peace

Re: Inner Peace

Postby keith » Sun Dec 06, 2009 5:13 pm

I express peace and serenity in thought, word and action.

While sitting alone in a quiet place, I enter into the silence for my daily time of meditation [-o< I embrace the peace and serenity within me and around me. If there are noises or disturbances, I am not bothered. I visualize the presence of God within the space. I envision the light of God above me and below me, before me and behind me

I see myself and those I love in the center of this light, in the midst of God's enfoldment, surrounded by everlasting peace. My body, mind and spirit are quiet and peaceful.

When I am ready, I go back to the activities of my day and carry with me the experience of inner peace by expressing peace and serenity in all I think, say and do :D

"And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone."

In the quiet of this moment, I am at peace. All is well.

Allowing time for the silence of prayer and meditation is vital to my well-being. In the quiet, I am serene. I am still. I am calm. Inner peace permeates my body and clears my mind. I am connected to the Divine [-o<

If at a later time I find myself in a challenging situation, the time I spent in the silence allows me to maintain tranquility. I am able to focus on the peace of God in the midst of the challenge. I focus on faith and love and know that all is well.

My actions of compassion, gratitude and service reflect the serenity I feel within. In choosing inner peace, I bring greater peace to the outer world

"And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm."
-Luke 8:24

One with the Christ of my being, I experience lasting peace within.

Inner peace, like outward expressions of peace, begins with me. I am aware of the inner strength and resources I have available to me which create and expand my feelings of peace and serenity

Inner peace comes from knowing that the Christ of my being is my anchor and source of all that is good, stable and secure. In a world where change is constant, the Christ within is my steady and unchanging foundation. Knowing this, I experience inner peace even in the midst of seeming disorder.

Inner peace comes as I behold the Christ within me and the Christ in others. Each individual I meet is a child of God and an expression of the Christ love :D

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

I am at peace when my heart and mind are on God.

When I insert a key into a lock, the tiny parts move into alignment and the lock opens. When I focus my thoughts on the center of my being, I feel the door to my inner space of peace spring open :)

I take just a moment to let my mind align with Divine Mind. I may have a favorite word or prayer that centers me. I gently surrender any thought of lack, discord or disease. I let it drift away. No temporary circumstance can disturb my peace. Aligned with Divine Mind, I feel the transformational energy of peace and love awaken in me. At one now with perfect peace, I am whole and complete [-o<

"Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."

I affirm the peace of God within me.

There is no other day like today =; It is unique and special. It is an opportunity to begin anew, to experience a clean slate, a new beginning. As I begin this day, I feel the peace of living in this now moment, of experiencing God's good in all its splendor. Instead of looking back on the concerns of the past, I enjoy the moment--right here, right now--and the peace it brings :)

Today is a new day, a day in which I lay down any fear or stress, a day in which I needn't be worried or concerned. There is only now, only God, and with God, unlimited good is being revealed to me and through me.

Today is a special day, one in which I choose to live in peace O:)

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
-Psalm 118:24

I am now enfolded in the peace of God.

If I were to wait until the world's conflicts were resolved before discovering my own peace, I would be searching for something outside myself that is already within :-k The spirit of God within me is my center of peace--so I gently bring my attention inward. Here is where I find peace and serenity

Instead of waiting for the world to give me peace, I give my peace to the world. Centering my thoughts on the peace within, I let tranquillity flow from me through my words and actions.

To the person who is upset, I am a patient listener. To the child who is fearful, I am the soothing voice of composure. I fully participate in life from the peace of God within my soul. I am God's peace in expression :D

Centered in Spirit, I am at peace.

I am at peace when I remember how lovingly I am supported by Spirit :) Sometimes I may get caught up in the drama of my own or someone else's experiences and lose my sense of inner peace. Once I become aware that my mind has strayed from Spirit, all I need do is mindfully take a deep breath. As I focus my attention on my breathing, I become centered in Spirit [-o<

"Spiritus," the Latin origin of the word spirit, literally means "breath." When I breathe deeply, I feel my body relax and I am calmed. As I breathe in and out, I become quiet and consciously aware of the Presence. I listen for the voice within that knows what is mine to do. I right my thinking. When my mind is centered on Spirit, I am at peace

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,"
Galatians 5:22

The peace of God is now expressing in me.

In times of turmoil, it can be difficult to find peace :? When I shift my attention away from the problem and instead focus inward on the Divine Presence, peace enfolds and soothes me. It begins as a quiet whisper in my soul and slowly builds to gratifying surrender. All is well :)

Centered in the Presence, I am at peace, no matter what is happening around me. I allow the wisest part of my being to lead. Troubles become manageable and conflict recedes. I am no longer searching for answers; instead, I allow them to come to me. I am clear-headed, discerning and strong.

With my thoughts on God, I realize inner peace. Here, I am comforted. Here, I gain my answers

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
Matthew 5:9

The peace of God fills my heart.

A river rushing downstream tumbles over rocks and flows around fallen logs. It is a busy current of power and energy. But deep below the surface the water is calm and quiet, gently lending strength to the bustling activity at the surface

Deep within me is a center of peace--a quiet strength that gives me the power and energy to pursue my dreams. When I pray, I draw on the peace within me. I trust in the strength and stability of God's indwelling presence.

Although outer circumstances may appear tumultuous, my strength comes from the center of my being where the peace of my soul is undisturbed O:)

"I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly."
Psalm 85:8
